Great Turnout

We have had a great turnout for the public forums this week. It is very encouraging and exciting to see so many people take time out to come and participate in the forums and provide valuable input. We are looking forward to begin reviewing all of the input we have received and move into our next stage in the process - meeting with various groups (both University and local) to conduct more focused discussions on the Master Plan.

Here are a few pictures from the public forums!

We Need Your Input

We want to hear from you! As we begin to work on updating the Campus Master Plan, we are seeking input from anyone and everyone who has a tie to the University, even community members who live or work in the Bloomington/Normal area. We are hosting three public forums next week (17th, 18th, 19th) and encourage you to attend. Each forum will provide a general overview on the Campus Master Plan and then participants will have the opportunity to provide input through the discussion-portion of the session. Your input will help us in deciding which direction to take the next Campus Master Plan. We are looking forward to hearing what you have to say and hope you can join us!

If you are unable to attend these sessions, we strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to fill out a survey that mirrors the discussion questions posed during the public forums.

We’re Live!

Welcome to the new Master Plan blog! The University is currently engaged in about a 16-month process to update the Campus Master Plan, which was last updated in 2002. So much has changed since the last plan was adopted - major physical projects have been completed or are underway, technology needs have evolved, the fiscal environment has shifted, and the physical dynamic of the University needs to be reviewed - that it is time again to take a close look at what the Campus Master Plan should be for Illinois State.

The Master Plan web site is sporting a new design to accompany this new initiave. The site will act as an information vehicle to keep the University and local communities updated on the process as well as notify you when opportunities arise to participate. Check out the new site at http://www.masterplan.ilstu.edu/

Please bookmark this blog and check back weekly for new posts and feel free to leave comments. We would love to hear from you!!
